BEMF - SECOND NIGHT SATURDAY 27 MARCH 2010 Border Community showcase : Avus, Luke Abott, James Holden, VJ Dan Founded in the UK in 2003 by James Holden, Border Community has been a key minimal-techno label throughout the years since then. Its catalogue has included dance floor hits such as "The Difference It Makes" (The Mfa), "Soopetrack" (Extrawelt), "Gazebo" (Fairmont), and "The Sky Was Pink" (Nathan Fake, remixed by James Holden). But Border Community is not just a producer of dance music; its many incursions into post-rock, ambient, and electronica are in fact more representative of the label's identity than those few moments of glory under the glitter-ball.
